Dermal Fillers

Fillers act as padding under the skin to fill out lines and hollows. Typically, fillers are used to reduce wrinkle depth rather than to eradicate them completely. They are injected using fine needles to strategic point on the face to plump and smooth the skin and the results are immediate.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can last up to a year or more but it varies from person to person and from one area of the face to another. It can also be affected by genetics, age, skin type, lifestyle, muscle etc. It's important to follow the aftercare advice, of drinking lots of water and using the appropriate skincare to prolong the effects to get longer out of the treatment.

To avoid bruising it is recommended that you avoid certain medications 2 weeks before your treatment; acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin) and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, NSAID (Nurofen, Ibuprufen, Ponstan, Difene, Naproxen etc). It is also good to avoid Omega 3 and 6, and Vitamin E in supplement or herbal remedies. Also on the day of treatment you must not drink coffee or tea.

Thread vein removal IPL

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment is a non-invasive treatment option for thread veins. IPL is not unlike traditional laser therapies. Focussed light is absorbed by haemoglobin in blood vessels, a protein carried by red blood cells to transport oxygen. The temperature of the target blood vessel increases, and eventually the thread veins collapse and are broken down and reabsorbed by the body.

Unlike laser therapies however, IPL uses a host of different wavelengths applied in short bursts rather than one, high intensity wavelength. This confers of advantages: Short pulses of light minimise unwanted exposure of healthy cells to the treatment, hence reducing the discomfort and redness following a session.

Advanced Diathermy for thread vein removal is a specialised treatment using an electrical current and just the very tip of the finest, smallest needle (or probe) possible, (about the size of an eyelash), to remove unwanted skin blemishes with little or no mark left on the skin.Diathermy can treat these visible veins on the face, chest and neck, it can also remove blood spots from other areas around the body. Spider naevi or spider veins which are often found around the cheeks or nose can be successfully cauterised by diathermy.

IPL Skin Resurfacing

Evidence shows that IPL skin rejuvenation is an effective way to improve aging and the appearance of skin. It has been found to significantly improve photoaged skin when used alone and in combination treatments.

Electrolysis for Hair Removal
